Any business has to start… Vendi Golf was no exception when in May 2020, after a couple of months of meetings, presentations and planning in a Covid-19 environment, Maffra Golf Club in Gippsland Victoria became the first Vendi Golf Venue on the 21st May 2020.

And what a start! When otehr clubs were locked out for business, and golf was only considered an exercise, Vendi was collecting green fees, selling drinks and snacks, all in a Covid safe tap and go environment.

And my how it has grown now some normalcy has returned to life!

In just 6 months Vendi Golf Maffra has made over $18000 worth of sales through the contactless environment, and is introducing a new way of paying and playing golf for the next generation.

In August 2020, the club also approached Vendi about a different way to do cart hire, the club was currently leasing it’s fleet and was actually losing money because of the nature of hiring requiring attendance on the course, key and shed access and cash collection on days the club didn’t trade – a recipe for revenue loss.

So Vendi came in with another Australian Frist – Vendi Cart Hire – a self attending model where players could hire a cart on site through the Vendi Machine and receive a pincode to access the key inside the cart in a secure and time sensitive duration environment.

Having just completed the 3 months to end of November statistics for cart hire vs last year – cart hire is up an incredible 195%!

Bucks in the clubs pocket with no outlay, and a self attending cashless model all equal a winning formula for Maffra into the future.
